Carmen La Cubana is a sizzling new musical featuring Bizet’s classic score flavoured with authentic Cuban styles. Inspired by Oscar Hammerstein II’s Broadway hit Carmen Jones, Christopher Renshaw (The King and I) directs this UK premiere, with new orchestrations by Tony Award winner Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton), mixing opera with salsa, mambo, rumba and cha-cha-cha and including musical favourites such as Habanera.

Absolutely amazing, wonderful show
Very straightforward booking.
Foot tappingly brilliant. Loved it
Good signing dancing and good interpretation of Carmen .Vibrant and colourful performance .
It wasn't as spectacular as I expected, the dancing was excellent, however the singing was not as strong as some of the other Carmens I have seen, especially in the first half! However one of the singers who really stood out was Jose's girlfriend for her rendition solo in the second half. Also the encore was a great touch and a lasting sense of cuban culture. I was left feeling it was not one of their best nights a little flat!
A truly great show - very vibrant with superb singing and dancing - a must see!
Amazing show. Music, singing, dancing, visuals were all spectacular.
Enjoyed the show very much. The music, songs and acting everything were exceptional. However there was only one difficulty we faced was language , though there were three screens displaying all the dialogues in English.
We could not fault the production. The voices and dancing were of the highest order. It was such a shame that there were some empty seats. Perhaps wider promotion might help?
Very much enjoyed Carmen La Cubana and London Theatre Direct gives excellent service both online and by phone.
Vibrant and exhuberant cast, but was a bit disappointed in the first half; the second half was much better and corresponding to my expectations. The 'encore, singing and dancing as the cast gave freely was just wonderful and more of what I would have like to see. The producer tried too hard to stay faithful to the western operatic version of Bizet particularly in the 1st half. It would have been better to make it wholly a 'Cuban' experience particularly in terms of music
We enjoyed the production. Certainly very vibrant and a powerful performance by all. The orchestra was superb.
